The SWPBIS TFI Facilitator is the point person for each school using the SWPBIS Tiered Fidelity Inventory (SWPBIS TFI). They are responsible for scheduling and leading the administration of the SWPBIS TFI one to three times per school year. The SWPBIS TFI Facilitator plays a critical role with ensuring:
- The accuracy of the SWPBIS TFI data
- Schools understand the purpose of the SWPBIS TFI, including intended uses and misuses
- Schools effectively use their SWPBIS TFI results to design improvements to their SWPBIS system
To become a certified SWPBIS TFI Facilitator, complete 3 online courses hosted by EduPaths. You will need to sign up for a free account if you have not previously registered for a course with EduPaths. Search Pathways for these titles:
- An Overview of the School-wide PBIS Tiered Fidelity Inventory
- Facilitating the SWPBIS TFI
- One of the following courses:
- SWPBIS TFI: Tier 1
- SWPBIS TFI: Tier 2
- SWPBIS TFI: Tier 3
At the end of the final course, look for specific instructions to complete the final certification step: uploading the Course Completion Certificates for all three courses. There is a link on the last page of the final course for the certificates to be uploaded to confirm you have met all of the training requirements. Course Completion Certificates can be accessed by clicking on the My Transcript page on EduPaths.org.
Please view the TFI Facilitator Certification video if you need assistance with this step. Note: The video does not have sound.
Within two weeks of submitting your documents through the link provided in the final course, you will receive an email verifying that you have completed the requirements to become a SWPBIS TFI Facilitator. You will also have the role of SWPBIS TFI Facilitator added to your profile within the MiMTSS Data System, a system for Michigan schools, districts, and ISDs.
Prior to independently facilitating a SWPBIS TFI administration, people new to the role should also observe or cofacilitate an administration of the SWPBIS TFI.
