Tier 1 Behavior Components of an MTSS Framework

By the end of this series, the School Leadership Teams will be able to coordinate, lead, and manage full implementation of School-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (SWPBIS), in order to increase time spent on academic instruction by increasing positive, pro-social behaviors and decreasing behavioral challenges.

Session 1

Body

School leadership teams will learn the guiding principles of PBIS. Teams will also create a plan for developing school-wide expectations and their behavior matrix by seeking input from family, students, and staff input with an equity mindset.

Session 2

Body

School leadership teams will develop plans to integrate staff, students, and families in the creation of their schoolwide PBIS system with an equity mindset. They will also explore ways to use fidelity and outcome data to guide the implementation efforts of PBIS.

Session 3

Body

School leadership teams will begin planning for acknowledgement and correction systems while seeking input from staff, students and families. Teams will also prepare to work with staff for Kick-off of PBIS.
