Call for Proposals
We're looking for dynamic proposals that showcase the very best of Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) in Michigan. Your work is vital, and we want to help you share it with a statewide audience. We welcome submissions for 75-minute breakout sessions and poster presentations.
Conference Theme: Together We Grow: Advancing Student Success Through MTSS
We are actively seeking proposals that will:
- Shine a Spotlight on Michigan MTSS Innovation: Show off the amazing work and real-world results happening in your Michigan schools, districts, and ISD/RESAs.
- Prove It Works with Evidence: Your session must be grounded in evidence-based methods that have proven successful for Michigan students. Tell us what you did and why it's effective!
- Focus on Student Impact: Go beyond the "what"—highlight your success by showing how students achieved more and experienced significant growth thanks to your efforts.
- Share an Actionable Insight: Share practical, easily replicable MTSS practices that other educators can immediately use and implement in their own schools.
- Tie It All Together: Clearly connect your work to the MTSS framework, ensuring you cover the full scope: Academics and/or Social, Emotional, and Behavioral Health (SEBH). Don't forget the core features: Data, Systems, and Practices!
- Make connections to Michigan educational priorities, the K-12 Literacy and Dyslexia Law, and tools like the MDE MTSS Practice Profile, District Capacity Assessment, or Tiered Fidelity Inventories (R-TFI or SWPBIS TFI).
- Build the Future of MTSS: Offer models and strategies for professional learning, coaching, and leadership that help schools and districts embed evidence-based practices within their MTSS.
- Who’s on your Team?: Give clear, compelling examples of how all stakeholders—teachers, administrators, coaches, and family partners—support evidence-based practices in your MTSS framework.
- Get Everyone Involved: Make your 75-minute session interactive! Include exciting, intentional ways for the audience to participate and engage with your content.
