The Michigan Multi-Tiered System of Supports Technical Assistance Center invites you to join the Explicit Instruction Facilitator Network.

This Network is designed for educational leaders across all grade levels. Participants in the Facilitator Network will deepen their understanding of explicit instruction and strengthen their facilitation skills to support professional learning within their own context. Additionally, Network Facilitators will have access to ongoing professional support through the MiMTSS TA Center, including further development opportunities and individual or small group check-ins for continued guidance. Attendance at all Network sessions is required for acceptance into the Network.

Who Should Attend:

Literacy Coaches, Instructional Coaches, Administrators, Consultants, ISD Staff, MTSS Coordinators, MTSS Team Leaders, Reading Specialists, Educational Leaders

Overview

The Explicit Instruction Facilitator Network is a state-wide initiative focused on strengthening local support for the core components of Explicit Instruction through a network of trained facilitators. This initiative is designed to help participants deepen their understanding of Explicit Instruction and develop their ability to deliver effective professional learning experiences. Through this Facilitator Network, we hope to expand the use of high-impact, evidence-based instructional practices that will positively impact K-12 students in Michigan.

Network Objectives

  • Expand understanding of Explicit Instruction principles
  • Refine professional development skills for delivering engaging and effective sessions
  • Promote research-based practices in classroom instruction
