An Event For:
ISD ancillary staff, consultants, and leaders supporting SEB MTSS efforts
School Psychologists, School Social workers and other ISD ancillary staff are often recruited to lead the facilitation of FBAs and BIPs. An effective FBA and BIP process can reduce problem behaviors for learners, such as academic engagement and participation. Participants will learn how to support the use of the FBA and BIP process along with support tools and information to increase confidence and competence in facilitating the process.
By the end of these sessions, participants will:
- Be prepared to facilitate the FBA process from defining behavior(s) to creating a hypothesis statement
- Be prepared to support the use of competing pathways
- Be prepared to support the development BIPs, including strategies for prevention, Teaching and responding
