Are you ready to further apply your learning from LETRS volume one to your classroom? Please join us for LETRS Power Hours! These dynamic 1-hour sessions will expand and deepen the knowledge you gained from Volume 1 while offering practical application strategies in your elementary classroom! Each interactive session will focus on validated, evidence-based instructional strategies used in classrooms to foster active participation, in addition to helping teachers select and organize critical content in their curriculums.
We will explore effective strategies to PLAN lessons, TEACH skills, and PRACTICE, designing guided and independent opportunities for learners to apply their knowledge.
Session One: Explicit Instruction with a Focus on Active Participation
Intended Audience: Elementary Teachers, Administrators, Interventionists
Session Two: Phonological Awareness
Intended Audience: Pre-K - 2 Teachers, Administrators, Reading Interventionists
Session Three: Beginning Phonics, Word Recognition, and Basic Spelling
Intended Audience: Elementary Teachers, Administrators, Interventionists
Session Four: Advanced Decoding and Encoding of Multisyllabic Words
