Requests for Submissions

The Michigan Department of Education is announcing Requests for Submissions (RFS) are now available for materials and resources to be evaluated by the Committee for Literacy Achievement. RFS documents, instructions, vendor webinars, rubrics and additional information can be found at The Committee for Literacy Achievement / HQ Literacy Materials Grant website. 


All Requests for Submissions must be received between 5:00 pm EST on February 28, 2025, and 11:59 pm EST on March 14, 2025.

MDE Diversity in Literature Symposium

The Michigan Department of Education (MDE) and Michigan’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports Technical Assistance (MIMTSS-TA) Center are announcing that this year’s literacy symposium will be a multi-part virtual webinar series.

This series, titled, “2025 Diversity in Literature Symposium: The How and Why of Literacy,” will begin in spring 2025.

Partnership District Support

The Multi-Tiered System of Supports Technical Assistance Center invites Partnership Districts to request access to specialized professional learning applied to literacy and social, emotional,  behavioral health implementation for the 2025-26 school year. Dyslexia Summit

The Michigan Multi-Tiered System of Supports Technical Assistance Center, in partnership with the Michigan Department of Education (MDE), invites you to save the date for the 2025 Dyslexia Summit.

This virtual event will be held on January 31, 2025, and is for educators and administrators of all grade levels. Summit attendees will have access to four speakers throughout the day, who will share their knowledge and expertise in supporting students with dyslexia within a multi-tiered system of support.

SEB to SEBH

The MiMTSS TA Center, in partnership with the Michigan Department of Education, announces the shift in terminology from Social, Emotional, Behavioral (SEB) to Social, Emotional, Behavioral Health (SEBH). This transition represents an expanded and integrated approach to student well-being. More information can be found here: Transition of SEB to SEBH.

19th Annual MTSS Conference

The MiMTSS TA Center, in partnership with the Michigan Department of Education, is excited to announce that registration is now open for the 19th Annual MTSS Conference: Transforming Student Success Through MTSS. The conference will be held at the Lansing Center in Lansing, MI. Learn from national and state-recognized keynote and guest speakers and connect and share with your fellow educators. Intensifying Literacy Summer Series

The MiMTSS TA Center has an opportunity this summer for Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDTs) to participate in the Intensifying Literacy Summer Series. The series will support teams in designing an intervention system for one reading intervention for the first and/or second grade.

When: August 16th, September 26th, October 15th

Stipends are available for participating teams! Registration closes 8/01.

2024 Social Emotional Behavioral Summer Symposium

The MiMTSS TA Center is excited to announce that registration is now open for our 2024 Social Emotional Behavioral (SEB) Summer Symposium.

When: June 17, 2024 (Early Childhood Focus) and June 18, 2024 (K-12 Focus)

8:00 am - 9:00 am Check In 

9:00 am - 4:00 pm Learning Sessions, including lunch
