This session provides an introductory overview of Structured Literacy, including details about who receives instruction, what instruction entails, how it is delivered, and why it is essential for developing lifelong readers. Participants will gain knowledge for instruction in each language domain and apply skills for effective Structured Literacy teaching in grades K through 2nd grade.

Continuous improvement requires the intentional, strategic use of data at all levels of the educational system. This series is designed to build knowledge around the essential components of a multi-tiered system of supports framework. Participants will use the problem-solving process to interpret universal screening data, determine whether a systemic need exists, and develop a plan of action to strengthen district- or building-level MTSS Tier 1 implementation.
